ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide install and service support for all alarm, video surveillance, for current and new customer in the service areas
- Install Qolsys, 2GIG, Honeywell, DSC, Smart Thermostats, Smart Doorbell Cameras, Smart Door Locks, CCTV Camera Systems, Alarm.com Cameras
- All installation activity related to electronic security to include but not limited to: effectively communicating and coordinating with customers, security team, cable pulling, mounting devices, system programming and customer training
- Prioritizing, planning and time management
- Interact with customers in a professional manner to cultivate positive customer relationships
- Communicate with the communication center with closeout information pertaining to service calls
- Communicate with management as to needs and actions taken or to be taken to complete projects in a timely manner
- Responsible for handling service calls in compliance with client contractual agreement.
- Complete all necessary paperwork or service system in a timely manner to ensure real time communication is shared with the team.
- Communicate to upper management any service items requested by the customer to ensure it falls in line with the signed service agreement.
- Perform preventative maintenance duties as assigned and complete as required by customer service agreement.
- Safety: Always be aware of your surroundings and the people in the vicinity that can pose threat to technician safety, technician safety is always first
- Travel out of town for projects as needed
Must be able to work Saturdays (2 days off a week) Work 5 Days, off 2 Days.
SKILLS and ABILITIES:
- Firm grasp of mechanical and electrical functions.
- Must be able to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and telecommunication faults.
- Must be able to Hardwire Cameras – If you cannot run wire you will not be selected.
- Aptitude to read, understand and apply knowledge from technical documents
- System programming
- Familiarity with the proper use of volt/ohm meters, circuit toners and Telco/network connector termination tools.
- Familiarity with basic networking theory. Assigning IP addresses, connecting network switches and routers.
- Analytical ability to diagnose basic problems and ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Inspect installation sites and study work orders, building plans, and installation manuals in order to determine materials requirement and efficient installation procedures.
- Must remain up to date with industry licensing and testing requirements.
- Must be proficient in using a PC.
- Must be able to effectively use tools and equipment as provided.
- Must be motivated and a self-starter with the ability to interact with people and the general public

- Basic hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire cutters, wire strippers, wrenches, drill bits and a battery operated drill, flashlight, Volt/Ohm meter, circuit toner, a butt set for Telco troubleshooting.
